Grow a Garden: Beanstalk Event Guide August 16-23 Update.

After feeding up Chris P. Pig and charming the Taste Connoisseur Rat, Jandel now throws us a new challenge, watering a baby beanstalk. But this isn’t some ordinary beanstalk… nope. This is Jack’s legendary fairy tale beanstalk from the tale Jack and the Beanstalk, and if you raise it right, you’re climbing toward some sky-high rewards.

🌿 How the Beanstalk Works

  • Jack will ask for specific plants to feed the beanstalk.

  • Sometimes it’s prickly plants, other times it’s different crop categories — so be ready for anything.

  • Each plant you give fills the Beanstalk Growth Bar, and rarer plants = more progress.

💡 Pro tip: Keep a mix of crops in storage. Don’t just farm one type, since Jack’s requests change.

🌵 Plant Categories in Grow a Garden

Here’s what usually counts when Jack asks for a type:

🌵 Prickly Plants

  • Cactus

  • Thistle

🌸 Flowering Plants

  • Sunflower

  • Rose

  • Tulip

🍎 Fruit Plants

  • Apple

  • Strawberry

  • Tomato

🥔 Root Plants

  • Carrot

  • Potato

  • Onion

(Jack may also request a specific single plant, so it’s smart to keep a stock of each.)

🌱 What Happens When the Bar Fills?

Once the bar maxes out, the beanstalk grows taller, unlocking new tiers of rewards. This includes rare seeds, currency, boosts, and possibly an exclusive event crop if you climb high enough. You get to the big giants and you can buy things from their shop. You need to contribute to the beanstalk a few times to get most of the rewards but you can get the Sprout Seed Pack! You can also restock the shop with money, which gets higher after every stick or wait 1 hour!

All these pictures I took while being up the beanstalk!

Sorry but I forgot to take a picture of the shop next time I will.

🎁 Why This Event Matters

  • New Seeds – Only available during this event. We don't know yet, as the update just launched however we will keep you updated!

  • Special Rewards – Items you won’t get anywhere else. We also don't know this.

  • Trading Advantage – Plant prices are spiking, especially for categories Jack asks often. This will be a temporary spike, but many gardens don't have these items, giving a trading spike!

🌾 Tips for Beanstalk Season

  • Plant a wide variety so you’re never stuck when Jack switches requests.

  • Save your crops — they’re in high demand.

  • Trade extras with other players to get ahead.

New Features

Garden Guide Feature
A big permanent update is the Garden Guide.

What it Does:

  • Logs all plants, pets, and items you’ve collected.

  • Tracks your journey toward goals and rewards.

  • Lets you upgrade your garden by completing full sets.

It’s kind of like the Pokédex in Pokémon—but for Grow a Garden. Instead of tracking creatures, it keeps a record of everything you’ve grown and found.

Will the beanstalk event come back?

Not confirmed. But we can say for sure now that these rewards will most likely be exclusive.
